637,455. Magnetrons. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. June 10, 1947, No. 15219. Convention date, July 25, 1946. [Class 39 (i)] A magnetron comprising two groups of imbricated resonant segments fixed to two rigid parallel plates, is tunable by moving the plates towards or away from one another while preserving their parallelism. The plates A, B carrying the preferably triangular shaped segments L, are supported on two flexible outwardly curving rods S. The rods are fixed at one end to the bottom of the envelope at F, and at the other end to a screw T secured at its centre to a flexible wall of the envelope m. The screw T is movable in or out by adjustment of the nut E.
