[Class 28(ii)] [Also in Group XXII] A vegetable peeling machine comprises a container 1 with a scored sheet metal liner 10. The scorings may be parallel and form symmetrical or saw-toother serrations, or a diamond pattern may be used. The working surface may be formed by knurling on stainless steel sheet or aluminium anodised after knurling. A rotatable bottom disc 2 may have a serrated metal sheet or sectors thereon, the serrations being generally radial on the single sheet or parallel on the sectors. Alternatively the disc may be covered with granular abrasive.
