[Class 21] A cask has reinforcing hoops 2 around the ends, one or both hoops having integrally formed therewith a reinforcement 6 for a bunghole 4 in the cask end. The reinforcement 6 may be ribbed and the bunghole further strengthened by an internal plate secured to the reinforcement through the cask wall.
