[Classes 64(i) and 64(ii)] A space heating installation, e.g., for a greenhouse, comprises a boiler and one or more circulating systems, each consisting of at least two adjacent flow pipes of small cross-sectional area connected in parallel to a hot water outlet in the upper part of the boiler and leading to a common end pipe remote from the boiler and at least one return pipe leading from the end pipe to an inlet in the lower part of the boiler. Each water-circulating element consists of pipes opening at each end into headers and in the form shown, heated water from the boiler a flows along an element comprising two or more pipes n, of elliptical crosssection with circular ends, connected in parallel to the boiler through a header o, and terminating in a similar header r, the circular outlet of which is connected to a finned member s leading to one or more return pipes t, the return pipes normally being fewer in number than the flow pipes n.. The boiler may comprise a metal container having one or more outlet openings in its upper part and one or more inlet openings in its lower part and an electric heating element in its interior. Alternatively, the boiler may comprise a boxlike sheet-metal container having water inlet and outlet connections in its side and top faces respectively, and supported by a casing having a flue passage above a burner for oil, coke or other fuel.
