635,706. Subaqueous signalling-apparatus. ROUND, H. J., and BUCKINGHAM, J. Feb. 1, 1947, No. 3120. [Class 118 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIX] A magnetostrictive oscillator as described in Specification 635,704, comprises a laminated rod of nickel or other ferromagnetic material and an enlarged radiating head attached to one end thereof, the ends of the laminations adjacent to the radiating head being bonded together, by silver soldering or other means, for a short distance along their length.
