635,389. Road vehicles. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. Jan. 28, 1948, No. 2596. Convention date, April 22, 1947. [Class 108 (i)] A motor vehicle having a body 11 and a top 19 adapted to be raised and lowered relative thereto, has a spring 27 carried by the free edge 22 in an elongated pocket 26 so that the spring 27 exerts forward and downward forces to hold the top 19 in weather-tight sealing engagement with the adjacent portion of the body. The lower end of the spring 27 is secured to the vehicle body by a supporting bracket 36 and is adjustable transversely of the vehicle to ensure proper alignment of the edge 22 and the adjacent part of the body.
