Abstract
634,299. Radio transmitting and receiving systems. COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE TELEGRAPHIE SANS FIL. Feb. 15, 1946, No. 4875. Convention date, Feb. 7, 1945. [Class 40 (v)] A pulse radar system comprises a transmitter J and a receiver M communicating by means of secondary wave guides GE, GR with a common main wave guide terminated by a horn, the secondary guides being respectively shunted by one or more cavity resonators R1, R2 arranged to be put into and out of the tuned condition by means of potential variable condensers C, D coupled to the resonators and to which pulses are applied from a potentiometer I controlled by a timer K for the transmitter so as to block the receiver guide during transmission and block the transmitter guide during reception. The capacities C and D may be constituted by blocked magnetrons as described in Specification 634,307.
