Abstract
634,266. Dolls' eyes. MITCHELL, J. D. Dec. 1, 1947, No. 31717. [Class 132 (iii)] A doll's eye is mounted on a pivot pin f which passes through the eyeball, the ends of the pivot pin engaging in bearings mounted in a socket c in the doll's head. A movement-imparting weight e is incorporated in the lower part of the eyeball. Each eye is made from two differently coloured halves d, d<SP>1</SP> moulded together and is introduced into the socket formed in a housing b integral with the doll's head. The pupil h of the eye, which is convex and may be made from coloured celluloid covered with transparent material j such as cellulose acetate, is counter-sunk into a socket in the eyeball. The doll's head is made from polyvinyl chloride and the eyeball is preferably made from plastic.
