[Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Groups II, XXVI and XXX] An extrusion press comprises two or more screws with intermeshing threads and rotating in the same direction, having one or more conical sections M-N in which the taper of the cone is opposite to that of the edges of the screw threads The screws also have a cylindrical section N-P. The plastic material is compressed in the conical section in which the clearance between the casing and the screw diminishes progressively and is mixed in the cylindrical section. A modification comprises two conical sections the first having a thread of greater taper and pitch.
