Abstract

631,914. Hoppers. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., BEVERIDGE, J. C., and PERGUNAS, S. W. Aug. 29, 1947, No. 23928. [Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Insulating discs 1 are delivered to a shoot 9 from a hopper 2 by means of rotating arms 5 The discs are fed manually to the supply hopper 2 from which they fall into a trough 3. A hub 4 mounted in the trough 3 carries four channelled arms 5 so that when the hub is rotated each arm picks up a number of discs 1. When one arm reaches a nearly vertical position the end of the channel in the arm is above a slot 6 in a fixed central boss 7 and some of the discs slide downwards into the slot 6, surplus discs being expelled through a gate 8 and returned to trough 3. The discs pass from the slot 6 to the delivery shoot 9.
