Abstract

631,553. Graining metal plates &c. HORSELL & CO., Ltd., F., and COLLINSWOOD, R. C. Oct. 23, 1947, No. 28320. [Class 60] In a machine for graining metal plates &c. a sub-frame 4 is supported by ball bearings 3 in the top of pillars 1; an eccentric 5 imparts a horizontal circular motion to the sub-frame which is elastically connected to the pillars 1 by springs 1x which prevent rotation of the sub-frame about the eccentric. The platecarrying trough 6 is hinged at one side to the sub-frame and connected at the opposite side by hinged links 8 operated through toothed quadrant 9 and worm 10 by handle 11. A discharge door 12 is provided. Positioning pins may be provided on the underside of the trough to engage recesses in the sub-frame. Specification 240,603, [Class 60], is referred to.
