Abstract
630,178. Gun mountings. ZBROJOVKA BRNO, NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 20,1947, No. 23133. Convention date, July 31, 1940. [Class 92 (i)] The elevating gear 4, 6, of a firearm 9 arranged on a mounting 1 is mounted for rotation about an axis which is coincident with the training axis of the firearm. The elevating gear shown comprises a hand wheel 5 mounted on a nut 4 whose flanges, by engaging a bearing 3, prevent it from moving axially. The nut, which can be locked by a further nut 13, engages the elevating screw 6 which carries a head 7 for slidably receiving a block 8 connected to the firearm. The latter also carries a strut 11 which engages a block 12 mounted to slide on the traversing guide segment 2. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the hand wheel 5 is dispensed with, and the nut 4 carries a gear-wheel which forms one element of gears and shafts leading to a handle situated between the rear supporting legs 15.
