[Class 37] [Also in Group VIII] An electric capacitor has a dielectric in which an ester of tetrahydro furfuryl alcohol is a substantial constituent. Examples given comprise : (a) tetrahydro furfuryl oxalate (ester of oxalic acid) ; (b) tetrahydro furfuryl benzoyl benzoate in combination with tetrahydro furfuryl esters of stearic oleic ricicoleic ricinoleic caprylic or palmitic acid ; (c) organic esters in combination with a tetrahydro furfuryl alcohol ester, e.g. dibutyl sebacate.
