Abstract

628,537. Adjustable brackets. HOBSON, C. W. Oct. 2, 1945, No. 25513. [Class 52 (v)] A display stand comprises a pillar support 10, a base 11 and passages 13 within the support 10 accessible by narrow lots 14, brackets 12 projecting through the slots 14 and having one end adapted to engage in the passage 13. Fig. 3 illustrates one such engaging device consisting of a cylindrical spring 15 on the bracket 12. Fig. 4 shows a cam mechanism whereby lowering the bracket 12 to the horizontal position causes the plates 22 to grip the sides of the passage 13 Modifications are described and shown wherein the inner end of the brackets carry projections which engage stops within the passages 13. Specification 212,681, [Class 52 (v)], is referred to.
