[Class 40 (vii) An aerial array comprises four folded halfwave dipoles A, B, C, D of impedance Zo (about 288 ohms) disposed at the corners of a square of quarter-wave length side and connected by transmission lines E, F, G to a feeder of impedance Zo/4 joined to the centre of line G. Dipoles B and D lag in phase by #/2 behind A and C producing a uni-directional radiation characteristic. The array has broadband properties and is particularly suitable for television reception.
