626,407. Electro-therapeutic appliances. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., FURNEAUX, W. D. C., and GOSSLING, B. S. June 6, 1947, No. 15015. [Class 81(ii)] A flexible electrode member for diathermy is spaced from the body by a plurality of insulating spacers, the combined surface of which, in contact with the body, is substantially less than the area of the metallic member. A plate 1 of metal gauze is connected to a high frequency source by a conductor 2 and is impregnated with a flexible dielectric material such as polymerized ethylene. It is spaced from the body by a number of loops 3 of polymerized ethylene tubing having their ends joined to the electrode member 1.
