Abstract
625,196. Chocolate moulding machines. VINGERLING'S MACHINEFABRIEK N.V. March 29, 1947, No. 8569. Convention date, April 3, 1946. [Class 87 (ii)] In a machine for filling moulds with liquid chocolate &c. of the type comprising a container (not shown) from which the filling material is forced through a distributing device 3 to a hollow mouthpiece 8 closed at the bottom by an interchangeable spout plate 21, the mouthpiece or distributing device, is provided with a guide member which constrains the filling material to be distributed over the spout plate from the edges inwardly. In machines having heated walls the guide member ensures uniform heat distribution in the material. The member may be a fixed plate 27, Fig. 4 ,or may take the form of a valve 9, Fig. 3. The valve 9 is held on valve spindles 12 which pass through bushes 13 attached to a fixed perforated plate 11. The tension of springs 16 is adjusted so that the valve will open under pressure from the filling material. The spout plate 21, Fig. 4, may be slid into position and clamped, by means of eccentrically mounted jaws 24, to the mouthpiece. It has ribs 22 and grooves 23 on opposite edges. To change the spout plate, the rib of a new plate is engaged in the groove of the plate to be replaced, a liquid-proof joint being thus maintained whilst the former is slid into position. The machine may be used in conjunction with a series of moulds on an endless conveyer.
