Abstract
624.817. Interrupters. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. July 4, 1947, No. 17761. Convention date, July 27, 1946. [Class 38(v)] To reduce wear in a contact-breaker, particularly when used in magnetos having plastic cams, a strip 40 of fish-paper or other springy non-metallic material, is interposed between the cam-follower 25 and the moving contact blade 50. The cam-follower is carried by a spring-blade 21 which is insulatingly mounted, together with the contact blade 50, on a lug 16 on the support 10. A contact 54 on the blade 50 normally engages a fixed contact 19 mounted on the support. A wick 35, to lubricate the cam, is clipped to the spring 21 underneath the cam-follower.
