Abstract

623,915. Resilient mountings for seats. MONROE AUTO EQUIPMENT CO. May 28, 1947, No. 14213. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1944. [Class 52 (i)] [Also in Group XXXII] A vehicle seat comprising a seat proper 11 and back 12 is mounted on the vehicle frame 13 by means of a resilient buffer (see Group XXXII) comprising telescopic tubes 15, 16 secured respectively to the vehicle frame and to the seat the tubes 15, 16 forming a pedestal or casing 14 within which is mounted a compression spring 24 and an hydraulic shock absorber 29. The upward movement of the seat is adjustably limited by means of rods 25 secured by nuts 26 to the seat supports and passing through apertured lugs 27 serving as abutments for the nuts 28 mounted on the lower ends of the rods 25.
