Abstract

623,837. Photographic printing apparatus. HOLDEN, J. May 15, 1947, No. 13159. [Class 98 (ii)] A photographic contact copying machine comprises a lamp casing 1 having an internal light source, a transparent upper wall 2, a container 12 mounted at one side of the casing from which sensitized sheet material may be drawn and placed on the upper wall 2 together with material to be copied, and a dark cover such as a roller blind 22, mounted at the other side of the casing so that it may be drawn over the copy material and held in place as by studs 25a. Lamps 3 may be carried by a rotatable support 4 controllable by an external handle 8 so as to place a semi-cylindrical filter 5 between the lamps and the upper wall 2, as shown, and a curved diffusing screen 9 may be provided also. The container 12 for the sensitized material comprises an opaque cylinder with ends 13 and sides with overlapping edges to form a light-tight slot 14 for withdrawal of sensitized material 15, and this container may be mounted in a dark compartment 11 by a spring clip 18 inside a hinged panel 17 forming part of the wall of the casing 1.
