[Class 100 (ii)] Stopping-arrangements.- In an addressing &c. machine having embossed printing plates fed in succession to a printing position, a lister head 3, 4 advanced intermittently along a support 5, and a stop member 8, adapted to be engaged by the lister head, adjustably carried by a stop bar 7 extending parallel to the lister support, the stop bar 7 is movably mounted and is so connected to the control mechanism of the machine that the engagement of the lister head with the stop member 8 automatically interrupts the operation of the machine. As shown, the stop bar 7 is coupled to a cam 11 which rocks a lever. 12 acting through a Bowden cable 13 to stop the machine ; alternatively, the cam operates electrical coiitacts controlling the circuit of a relay.
