[Class 39(iii)] A concentrator adapted to be surrounded by an induction coil 1 comprises two metal semi-cylindrical parts 6, 7, separated by a gap 8, and two metal transverse members 10, 11, joining the ends of the semicylindrical parts chord wise as shown. The tranverse members 10, 11, may be hollow for the passage of cooling fluid supplied by pipes 12, 13, 14, 15. The concentrator is intended primarily for strip sheet or other material in long lengths.
