Abstract
621,794. Card-index drawers. LOMBARDINI, L. April 11, 1946, No. 11176. Convention date, Oct. 20, 1939. [Class 146 (i)] A distancing device for spacing partitions in vertical-card-index drawers comprises a base block 1 with two spaced converging uprights 4, 5 in a vertical plane, between which the lateral projection 12 of a partition 13 is inserted, the blocks 1 being slidable in guides 3 in the sides of the card-index drawer. The blocks 1 are recessed or furrowed at the bottom to lighten them and reduce friction in the guide. The uprights 4, 5 may have rounded tops or, as shown, may be provided with rollers 10, 11 mounted on pivots 8, 9. To increase the spacing between partitions, auxiliary blocks of the length desired for extra spacing may be inserted between the blocks 1 carrying the partitions.
