621,701. Puzzles ; toys ; pictures ; ornamenting. WILEY, T. G. H., and WATSON, H. K., (trading as WILEY DISPLAYS, T. G. H.). Oct. 9, 1946, No. 30088. [Classes 11, 93 and 132 (iii)] Toys, puzzles and educational devices of the type wherein two or more layers of transparent or semitransparent material, each having printed or otherwise arranged thereon a picture or design or a portion thereof so that on being superimposed the pictures or portions thereof are in register to produce a finished picture, are characterized in that any or all of the said layers are scored or indented so as to be broken up into a plurality of pieces. As shown, the layers A, B and C each differently coloured, are scored or indented along lines D. The sheets are broken along these lines to increase the difficulty of solving the puzzle. If desired, the sheets may be of coloured transparent material The layers on assembly may be supported in a box lid having a transparent window, and illuminating means provided inside the box to illuminate and shine through the respective layers. The pieces into which the layers are divided may be interlocking.
