Abstract
621,354. Spring clips. WADE. E. E. S., and LIVSEY, C. Feb. 21, 1947, No. 5085. [Class 44] [Also in Group VII] A clip for a fountain pen or the like is formed with eyelets 11 in the same plane as the clipping arm 5 and secured in a slot in the top of the pen by an eyebolt 14 connected to the eyelets by a pin 17 and tightened by a nut 18. , The slotted domed top 6 is a separate member and has an internal screw for a threaded bush 3, e.g., of metal. The bush, which is screwed into the end of the pin, has bores 12, 19 to receive the bolt 14 and nut 18, the shoulder 20 between them being coned. The nut 18 is, also coned and has slots 21 for a suitable tool. The clip is bent from sheet metal to channel section, the channel walls being continuous between the clipping arm and the securing portion.
