Abstract

A method of drying, concentrating by evaporation or particularly "short path" distillation, heat-instable substances, e.g. vitamins, hormones, blood, sera, plasma, at a low temperature in vacuo by the heat produced therein by high-frequency electrical energy, is characterized in that the electrical field strength and air pressure in the treatment chamber are so related to each other that ion currents do not occur of a strength that may damage the substance.
