[Class 64(iii)] [Also in Groups XII and XXVIII] The apparatus o the parent Specifica tion is modified in that the upwardly directed jets of liquid irrigating the uppe: tube plate 10 of a vertical tube conden ser are supplied through nozzles 13 arranged along vessels 12 extending between the tubes of the condenser. The vessels 12 may either be fitted between each row of tubes or between every other pair of rows in which latter case the number of nozzles 13 is doubled on each vessel 12.
