Abstract
618,662. Hods. FOULKES, Ltd., A. D., and VANN, E. A. Nov. 11, 1946. No. 33415. [Class 20(ii)] A builder's hod comprises a V-shaped body a, Figs. 1, 3, the lower part of which is provided with a socket b for the attachment of a stale and is shaped at one or each side of the socket to serve as a shoulder pad e, the body and sccket being made as a single metal casting e.g. of aluminium manganese or other alloy. The body a is provided with reinforcing ribs c and d at the sides and along the lower edges respectively. The pad e may be formed between the socket b and the closed end of the hod or alternatively each side of the socket b may be shaped to form a pad.
