[Class 99 (ii)] A hose pipe comprises a layer 3 of metallic braiding, enclosed on both sides by layers 4, 5 of asbestos cloth, impregnated or coated with or covered with a layer 6, 7 of synthetic rubber, and an'external helical wire reinforcement 9. The wire 9 may be covered by asbestos cloth 10 and synthetic rubber 11, and a lining 8 of synthetic rubber is provided with or without a wire helix 12. All the layers of asbestos and rubber may be helically wound overlapping strips.
