[Class 52 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] Folding furniture comprises a body 1, and underframes 4 pivoted to the body and held extended by folding stays each formed in two parts 5, 6 which fold sideways upon one another The parts 6 are hinged to the body. The lower ends of the parts 5 are shaped to abut cross members 4a on the underframes and have jointed fittings 9. Pins (not shown) pass vertically through members and fittings to fasten stays to underframes. The stays are held in their straightened positions by latches 11.
