[Class 97 (iii)] A pair of compasses comprises legs 1, 2 having horizontal parts, the extremities of which are hinged together about a normally vertical axis 3. Leg 1 having the needle or other point 5 has an extension 4 for manipulating the compasses which may be made of plywood or of a plastic composition. The hinge 3 may be offset to enable the compasses to fold neatly.
