616,615. Stropping safety-razor blades. RAINFORD, W. Sept. 11, 1946, No. 27252. [Class 60] The jaws A<SP>1</SP>, A<SP>2</SP> having respectively bladelocating pegs B<SP>1</SP> and peg-receiving holes B<SP>2</SP>, are carried by crossed arms D<SP>1</SP>, D<SP>2</SP> secured together by rivets F<SP>1</SP>; one of the arms is of spring steel. The jaws have recesses G<SP>1</SP>, G<SP>2</SP> to facilitate insertion of the blade, and the backs of the jaws are bevelled so as to present the blade at a suitable angle to the strop. In a modification, the two parts of the implement are hinged together and a blade spring is inserted to exert the closing pressure.
