[Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii)] An easy chair composed of parts formed by stamping or moulding metal, plastic &c., is provided with a seat frame A to which are secured side or arm rests C formed of plate material having out-turned flanges C<1>, D, E to form a hollow recess in which a book shelf, &c., F may be arranged. Also secured to the arm rests and to the seat A is a back plate G which is wider at G<1>. It is preferably arranged against runners on the arm rests C and the widened parts G<1> may enter slots C<2> formed in the arm rests.
