614,833. Supply systems for X-ray apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 2, 1946, No. 23131. Convention date, Feb. 8, 1943. [Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XL (a)] A supply system for X-ray apparatus comprises a core-less transformer 127 designed to work on a frequency between 500 and 1000 cycles per second. The transformer may be tuned by the variable capacity between the plates 135, 137. The whole may be mounted in an earthed metal container 123 filled with insulating oil. The end 17 of the X-ray tube occupies about half the space inside the transformer; the other half contains a casing 129 within which is located apparatus for regulating the filament current.
