Abstract
614,546. Photographic exposure meters. FREUND, G. E. Nov. 6, 1945, No. 29530. [Class 40 (iii)] [Also in Group XX] An exposure meter comprises a housing containing a photo-electric cell and an indicating instrument, and has a rotatable carrier carrying a plurality of light modifying members mounted on an axis perpendicular to the housing, which carrier is operatively connected to a scale member so that a scale appropriate to each light modifying member is brought into a position for reading when that light modifying member is placed over the photo-electric cell. The indicating instrument is a milliammeter, microammeter, microvoltmeter or millivoltmeter. Fig. 1 shows the front of the exposure meter, with housing 10, carrier 22 mounted on shaft 25 and having translucent convex light modifying member 23 suitable to receive incident light upon, and grid member 24 suitable to receive reflected light from, the object to be photographed. Fig. 2 is a side view showing photo-electric cell 20 and a rear window 32 through which needle 33 of the indicating instrument, and scale member 36 may be observed. The carrier may be provided with four light modifying members, each of which has a corresponding scale. Specification 531,996 is referred to.
