Abstract
An alloy from which accumulator plates may be made consists of lead and from 0.5 to 2.5 per cent each of antimony and cadmium. In an example, 2 parts by weight of antimony and 1.5 parts of cadmium are alloyed with 96.5 parts of lead. The antimony and cadmium may be present in amounts proportional to their atomic weights. A small quantity of tin may be added and in an example, 0.5 parts of tin, 2 parts of antimony and 1.5 of cadmium are alloyed with 96 parts of lead.
