Abstract

609,447. Snap-action switches. PARSONS, Ltd., C. H., and HANDLEY, G. B. March 17, 1946, No. 8007. [Class 38 (v)] In a pull-operated switch such as that described in Specification 521,905, the pivoted U- shaped operating member is replaced by two quadrant like members 14, pivoted on the moving contact member 12, so as to engage a laterallyprojecting rib 20 at the lower end of arm 12. The moving contact blades 11 are rigidly attached to the arm 12, and a snap-action arrangement as described for a dolly switch in Specification 523,728 is provided at 27. Alternatively, a pivoted contact lever, rocked by the lever 12, may be provided as described in Specification 521,905. The Pro- . visional Specification refers to Specification 406,576.
