[Classes 6(i) and 6(ii)] A tine bar 8 of D section, fitted with a cranked lever 9 at each end, is pivotally mounted between side members 5 and has fixed thereto tines 13 which extend under a restricting or control bar 14 and over a lifting bar 15. Each pair of tines is formed of a single length of wire doubled upon itself or tines may be formed from a single length of wire. The upper ends of the cranked levers are secured to a crossbar 10 on which is a ferrule 11 engaging the screwthreaded end of a rod 12. An independent loading weight is mounted on the rake and comprises ground-wheels 17 on axles 19 mounted on the main frame by supports 16, 18. The supports 18 have alternative securing positions on said frame so allowing variation in the balance of the machine. The axle 19 is hollow for the reception of additional weights. For transportation the machine is turned over when the wheels will be on the ground. The wheels and supports may be folded for storage. In a modification the wheels may be dispensed with, the necessary weight being incorporated in'the frame, or the bar 6.
