Abstract

608,210. Valve accessories. DONALDSON, J. G. March 5, 1946, No. 6839. [Classes 69 (iii) and 135] [Also in Group II] In an apparatus for mixing in flow water and a solution of detergent (see Group II), the valve stem 19 of the valve controlling the discharge passage for the detergent solution carries a pin 27 which when the valve is closed moves into a metering orifice 17 preventing it from becoming clogged or cleaning it if clogged. The apparatus is fitted with a nozzle 31 comprising an outer sleeve 34, which may be of heat-resisting material such as a plastic, in the interior of which and spaced therefrom is a rigid conduit 35 adapted at 36 for connection to a flexible conduit. The spray head 38 is secured to an angled nipple 37 which may be integral with the sleeve 34.
