[Class 41] In an electrolysis apparatus having horizontal electrodes as in a liquid electrode cell, the anodes d are fixed by means of rods g to slabs or plates c forming the cover of the va,t a and the plates c are carried to slide vertically in a frame h making fluid-tight joints f, therewith and adjustable with respect thereto, the frame d being carried on or being formed as a part of the vat walls, together with transverse straps. As shown, the frame comprises L or T-section irons h mounted on the edges of the longitudinal sides of the vat, together with other irons transversely mounted. Plates e are suspended by means of screwed rods i and nuts j from straps fixed on the outside of the vat. Specification 602,436 is referred to.
