Abstract

605,414. Doors. HITCHINS, W. G. Dec. 21, 1945, No. 34775. [Class 20(iii)] A door frame for a partition wall comprises two jamb members J and a bead H, these parts being horizontally and vertically adjustable, respectively relatively to the sides and tops of the partition. The bead and jamb members are placed first in temporary position straddling the partition, the door is then secured to the hanging jamb member, the jamb members and bead are adjusted to correct position in relation to the door and the jamb members and head are then secured to each other and to the partition. The frame is thus adjusted to fit the door instead of the door being adjusted to fit the frame.
