Abstract

603,209. Drawer and box &c. partitions. MASON & SON, Ltd., W., and WAINMAN, K. A. Dec. 28, 1945, No. 35106. [Classes 52(i) and 52(v)] [Also in Groups XVII, XVIII and XXV] A clip A, Fig. 1, for retaining division members such as partitions or shelves in adjustable positions in counters and like structures comprises a parallel - sided socket portion 1 for holding the division member, and a retaining portion 3, with flanges 4 splayed outwardly, across the back 2 of the socket portion at right angles to the side-walls, the retaining portion sliding in a correspondingly-shaped groove in a part of the structure. The groove 16, Fig. 4, may be enlarged at one or more points 17 to allow entry of the channel portion 3. Another clip B in which the retaining portion takes the form of an L- shaped flange at the bottom of the socket portion, may be used to connect main and subsidiary partitions. For shelves and in inclined situations some simple device may be provided to hold the clips in adjusted position. The clips may be made of metal or of a thermo-setting plastic material; the rear wall 2 may be omitted; and a bottom wall may be provided between the side walls. The retaining portion 3 may have a curved or rectangular cross-section, with lateral flanges.
