Abstract
600,540. Hair-dryers. HANSEN, P. F. Dec. 31, 1945, No. 35303. Convention date, Feb. 21, 1942. [Class 81(ii)] Hair-drying apparatus for insertion into the hair is provided with cooling-air admission tubes 3, with perforated walls, and mounted on holder 1, formed to the shape of the skull; air inlet is through pipe 4. Another holder 2, also formed to the shape of the skull carries heat conducting members 7; this holder may be heated either by electric element 8 mounted on the inlet pipe 4 by insulating connector 9, or by steam, hot air, or the like heating means passing through passage 10. The heating members, which are not in heat conducting connection with the admission tubes 3, extend along these tubes and are so placed in relation to them that the cooling air sweeps round, and is heated by, the heating members, which may be hollow and provided with additional heating means.
