[Class 26] In a flushing cistern of the bell type, a resilient pad or pads 2 is or are affixed to the rim of the bell 1, and the buffered part is provided with guideway location means. Said means may comprise slots 2a in the pads into which fit ribs 3a on the well section 3 of the cistern. The pads may have inwardly-protruding lips 2b to engage with grooves 1a formed in the rim of the bell.
