568,101. Swimming - appliances. CHURCHILL, O. P. June 28, 1943, No. 10444. [Class 77] A propelling device which is attached to the foot for use in swimming is made in one piece entirely of a homogeneous resilient material such as rubber and comprises a heel strap 2, a central hollow foot-receiving portion 4 and a diverging extension web 8 having a gradually increasing flexibility towards its free end 9. The web 8 is formed with marginal beads 10 which are relatively thick at the portion 4 and taper so as to merge into the thickness of the web at the end 9. The portion 4 is formed with an aperture 7 for drainage purposes and to provide a suction cup on flat surfaces.
