[Class 26] [Also in Group XIV] In an air mattress divided into sections, one of the sections is provided with a depression or concavity 22 for the retention of excreta or for use as a bowl for the washing of a patient using the mattress. Pneumatic rings 28, 29 or other fillings may be inserted in the concavity to maintain the level of the surface and a drainage tube 24, which may be fitted with a plug, is provided. A skirt 33 around the mattress can be everted to form a rim around the deflated mattress and the structure can then be used as a bath.
