Abstract
597,713. Scissors and hand-shears. CADDY, S. C. Aug. 24, 1945, No. 21705. [Class 30] Scissors or like tools have one blade 1 formed separately from, and connected by a screw 4 to, its handle 5 which has an extended portion 6 offset out of the plane of the tool, the other blade 9 being pivoted between the part 2 of the blade 1 and the off-set portion 6. The parts 2, 10 and 6 are formed substantially circular and the pivot is formed by a screw 11. The part 3 of the blade 1 may be off-set instead .of the part 6, or both may be off-set. In a modification, the handle 5. is off-set laterally to enable the finger grips to be set more widely apart.
