597,054. Catches. BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION. June 6. 1945, No. 14284. Convention date, May 5, 1944. [Class 44] (Also in Group XXXV] A cap fitted to the casing of a generator or other device and held thereon by a spring clamp has a skirt portion for holding the clamp distended when the cap is removed from the casing so that the clamp does not get in the way when the cap is re-fitted. As shown, the cap 2 carries springs 9, the ends of which engage a recess 15 in the cavity 13 when pressure is applied in the direction of the arrows A. In another form, apertures are provided near the free ends of the springs to engage projections on the casing.
