[Class 100 (ii)] Inking-apparatus.-In inking-apparatus for rotary printing-machines particularly those employing quick-drying aniline inks, wherein a duct-roller a is rotatable about a fixed axis a<1> relative to the machine frame, and an inktransmitting roller e which transfers the ink from the roller a to a printing-cylinder d is mounted on a rocker arm c pivotal about the axis a<1> whereby the predetermined setting of the roller e relative to the roller a is maintained irrespective of the position of the roller e relative to cylinder d, the arm c is manipulated by means of a hand lever g having pivotal and linkage connection to one end of the arm. The ink is contained in a duct b adjustable relative to the machine frame and the roller a by means of a cam k turned by a hand-lever k<1>. The hand-lever g is connected to the arm c by links f, f<1>, including a micro or vernier adjustment device h, comprising an eccentricallymounted pivot pin, for determining the pressure of the roller e on the cylinder d. A nut j engaging a right and left hand screw j<1> is provided for adjusting the pressure of the roller e on the roller a through arms e<2>, a<2>, carrying the rollers.
