Abstract
593,481. Welted shoes. WRIGHT, W. C. Dec. 28, 1944, No. 26010. [Class 17 (ii)] A sewing rib 2 for attachment to an insole blank 1 is made of synthetic vinyl resin material and is adhesively attached by horizontal flanges 3, 4. The blank 1 may be recessed to receive the flanges 3, 4 or the rib may be secured to its surface. In a modification the flange 4 is omitted. The resultant shoe structure is stated to be very flexible. The rib may be provided with a reinforcing strip to give added stitchretaining properties. Specifications 591,139 and 593,471 are referred to.
